Economic Classes
a) Express Entry
From the onset of 2015, Express Entry was introduced for skilled foreign workers, which covers the key economic immigration programs:
-
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class program (CEC)
b) Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
This is another popular way to secure Canadian permanent residency. This program is intended for individuals who wish to migrate and settle in some specific province of Canada. Each province runs its own immigration program and has its own unique requirements majorly based on to cover their labor market demands. Once the province provides necessary approvals, additional points are added to individual profile and enhances the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, thus enabling one to receive Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next federal PNP draw.
- The Skills Immigration Streams: Eligibility for many Skills Immigration streams is based in part on the federal government’s National Occupational Classification (NOC) system. The BC PNP uses the 2021 version of the NOC.
- Skilled Worker
- Health Authority
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
- International Graduate
- International Post-Graduate
- BC PNP Tech
- The Express Entry BC (EEBC): Express Entry is a points-based online application management system introduced by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
If you are in the federal Express Entry pool and you also meet the criteria for one of the BC PNP Skills Immigration streams, you may be eligible to use the BC PNP’s Express Entry BC (EEBC)
option. The BC PNP has EEBC options for each of the following BC PNP streams:
-
- Skilled Worker
- Health Authority
- International Graduate
- International Post-Graduate
- BC PNP Tech
